Very organic, relaxing vibes, great and helpful owner 😊 you can get easily by local buses to Cahuita, Porto viejo, Manzanillo etc. or visit cacao museum on the other side of the road. We really love the whole location.

Exceptional value for money, standing out head and shoulders above anything else we found in Costa Rica in this mid range price bracket. Lovely place in a quiet town. We felt very welcome, and accommodations were easily made when we wanted extra nights and needed some help. And very cute dogs too:) Place was nice and clean and the kitchen was equipped for our needs!

the owner was accomodating :), we were the only people staying there so we had the shared patio to ourselves. it was close enough to everything. Just to be aware, the container means the room is literally inside of the "shipping container" which is a pretty cool concept if you are up for it ;)

Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking.

It was located close to the town and the Host (Tom) was very helpful and well organized. The check-in and check-out was very easy. And the bakery close by is absolutly amazing!!

The bungalow stay was really nice. The rooms are well equipped and you can sit nicely on the patio. While I stayed there a sloth and two groups of monkeys passed by so you could see them directly on the site. Kayaking (rental for free) on the river and towards the sea was fantastic. Carlos was really helpful and friendly. Small downside, not many restaurants in walking distance so you have to drive at night a bit.
