The guesthouse’s location is superb, next to the church and the start of the hiking trail to Shkhara glacier. The village’s panorama viewpoint is just 3 minutes walk away, and you can be there easily in the early morning before the tourists arrive. The rooms are clean with stupendous views and en suite bathroom. Mamuka’s mother is a whiz in the kitchen: we booked dinner and breakfast with her during our 2 night stay and every meal was delicious. Home-made jams, milk from the family cows, produce from their garden and so on. Mamuka was also very responsive and helpful with advice and booking of transfer vehicle, and we learnt a lot about life in the mountains.

Where do I even start? We’ve had the very best Khachapuri in all of Georgia here and also the most chocolateyy hot chocolate in the entire world here!! The room was stunning with a lot of attention to small details and the heating worked almost too good - we had to unplug it during the night haha! We loved absolutely everything about this place - the food, the people, the atmosphere, the dogs, you name it! Would definitely come back in summer and stay here again :)

Beautiful guest house accommodation. Very comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Grigoli was so friendly and helpful, and the house was very nicely furnished and kept, with games and coffee and tea and a nice, simple breakfast. Data is a great guy and so nice and helpful. We had to arrange a ride from one of the village to Ushguli and we contacted him - he answeared right away and took care of it. Also I had a knee problem after the track so he got me an ointment for the pains. It was clean and comfy.
