We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. Muni goes above and beyond as a host, and her team put so much effort into making it a relaxing and comfortable place to stay; every detail has been thought of and the team were so helpful and friendly, we really felt like we were staying with friends. We had all of our meals in and the food was brilliant, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with lots of flavour. The location is brilliant for exploring the beautiful surrounding sites but definitely make sure you stay long enough to take the time to relax by the pool or on the terrace with the breathtaking views. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave - it’s the perfect place to recharge and relax.

Our second visit to Lilly Guest Inn was as good as our first, eight years ago. Rahim and Razmiya are wonderful, helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable. Breakfasts and dinner are delicious and varied, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless and the beds super comfortable. They will organise early starts to Lipton's seat etc, providing a tuk tuk and packed breakfast. A special mention to their safe, courteous and obliging tuk tuk driver Mahindra for whom nothing was too much trouble on our trips to local waterfalls etc. . Sri Lankan hospitality at it's heartwarming best, you will take home very warm memories of Lilly Guest Inn.

I loved the location, wich is close to the city center, but at the same time quiet and with an amazing view. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony to sit on and enjoy the view of the hills and valley. My son slept so well. Better than anywhere before in Sri Lanka. Very soft warm blankets and cushions. Musquito nets. Hot shower.

Nice views, great food, friendly host. Good location and view on the mountains from all rooms. Fresh food, fitted to the wishes of the (child) guests. Quiet place, and great location

The guesthouse is very good located. Our host was very helpful and always indicates us the cheapest way to get around. As Backpackers we really appreciate it! We had a really nice view!

Beautiful view with convenient seating in the courtyard. Very quiet and peaceful. Owner has sweet kids and a very friendly wife. I could wash my clothes there for a small fee. Perfectly located on a quiet side street next to an old church. Wonderful charming colonial building, 150 years old (guest house) Walking distance to the centre of town. Nice restaurants and a Buddhist temple nearby. I liked my spacious bathroom a lot. It was very clean. WiFi was also good. I felt very comfortable at this place and could relax very much.

Very nice family and nice guesthouse with beautiful view! It’s very quiet and the family really cares to make you feel at home! Everything is very cheap (food) and the laundry was made fast and good! They also provided us a scooter for a good price and we could drive around, this was one of our best days in Sri Lanka! Thank you!
