The location is idyllic, from your room window or outside on the shared terrasse and facilities you have a wonderful view of the mountains. The area is quiet and the village nearby has all necessary stores and facilities. The pension is close to many interesting visiting sites. It is easy to access by car and to park on site. The facility has everything you need on site. Rooms are well equipped, extremely clean and comfortable. There is a little kitchen space available as well. Breakfast was copious and delicious and the hosts were absolutely fantastic and friendly. Would recommend this place for a short and for a long stay in the area.

Great accommodation in a lovely area of Attersee, a nice breakfast included with amazing view of the lake. The private entrance to the lake is exceptional! Excellent communication with the host. I truly enjoyed every minute of my stay and can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!

Spacious and comfy room with a balcony and new furniture, nice bathroom, well-used space. We liked friendly staff and proximity to Traunsee. There were many opportunities for biking and hiking. The host and hostess were very accommodating and the breakfast was amazing. The meals, prepared by the host who is also a chef, were delicious and the portions were very generous. It's an exceptional area for hiking and cycling in a beautiful setting.

The room was clean and big. The bed very comfortable. We brought our dog with us for the stay (without charge!!). When we walked in, there was a bowl and two Beef Sticks and it was the cutest thing. Breakfast was very good and the host friendly.

Very nice service, very clean, positive and helpful staff. Great location, beautiful view from the balcony. Though the check-in starts at 3 p.m., we arrived at midday and immediately received the key from our room.
We came with the dog, and there were no extra charges, which is a pleasant surprise 😀.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, all in all very pleasant stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Gasthof Engelhof! The staff were beyond friendly and welcoming, food was amazing, my room was quiet and cosy, but more importantly clean and I assume recently renovated. The hotel is a short walk from the tram station Gmunden Engelhof, and easy to reach. Highly recommended!

Great location not far from the lake. It is a sleepy town but it is a good place to stay for a night before moving on. There is a car park attached to the Gasthof which is handy. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed. Breakfast was laid out for us when we came down in the morning. Breakfast is as basic but did the job
Typical Austrian format of pension, good value for money. The rooms are nice and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The breakfast was good, but the owner was quite surprised about the request for tea instead of coffee. In general, good choice for a night or two.
