This guesthouse is just steps from the main street with shopping and restaurants, yet very quiet and offers great mountain views from the comfortable rooms. There is also a popular coffee shop just around the corner. There is ample parking and Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station is 25 minutes away. There is also a bus stop close to the guesthouse. All staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We were given a welcome drink and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

Conveniently situated 1.5 km from the Hausberg ski lift in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Hotel Alpengruss features a terrace, and free WiFi. Hiking and cycling trails are easily accessible. Quiet, clean , walking distance to bus and trains. Very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff

Hotel Föhrenhof se nachází v poklidné lokalitě u lesa v obci Farchant, jen 3 km od Garmisch-Partenkirchenu, a nabízí sluneční terasu a zahradu s krásným výhledem na hory Zugspitz a Wetterstein. Everything was better than we thought. Accommodation, personnel, amenities, exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended to everyone and definitely we'll come back in the future.

Delightful experience!

Krásný menší penzion v hezké vesničce, nádherný výhled na hory. Ubytování pro 5 lidí předčilo očekávání, vše krásně připravené, čisté. Nesmírně milý majitelé, s ničím nebyl problém, rádi si popovídají, doporučí výlety (angličtina není problém). Snídaně dostatečné, každý si vybere a možnost si vzít sebou do připraveného pytlíku je skvělá. Určitě se nevidíme naposledy.

Very nice owners who even took me to the start of a very cool walk! Nice large room with balcony, comfortable bed. Extensive breakfast. Everything great! I would love to come back here!

It might seem that I exaggerate, but we really had the time of our lives!! Thanks to the hotel, Simon, and the beautiful area. Me (27M) and my girlfriend(23F) could not have found a better place. We were well prepared (or so we thought) and knew exactly what to do, where and when, until we met Simon. He was super friendly and helped us refine our activities with secret local spots and choosing the right day for each activity. For my girlfriend and me this was perfect. (Even if you are not so well prepared Simon will point you towards all the gems exactly tailored to your wishes.) The appartment itself is super clean and recently renovated (while keeping the rustic alpine style). We loved the cozy wooden interior and the bed was very comfortable (including the pillows!!). I almost forgot the great view, see the photo. The location directly at the Fernpass road B179, was ideal for us. We had many things planned such as Zugspitze, Neuschwannstein, Drachensee, Partnachklamm, Breitachklamm and canyoning, which were all within 1h driving (many even much less). This was ideal for us and made a super action packed, beautiful vacation possible for us. Last but not least Simon made a custom mountainbike loop exactly to my wishes, which was one of the coolest (and hardest, cardio wise) experiences I have had in a while, completely for free. He has an amazing collection of bikes which you can borrow for free. With that I would like to conclude that I can only very much recommend staying here. Best wishes, R & E
