Thou there are some teething issues, but to my amazing the customer oriented host, Mr Dimmer is attentive and friendly - always ready to help. The home stay is about 800 m away from jetty. You can contact the host prior to arrival. He is more than happy to provides free shuttle and pick up service. Homestay is located lake front, morning and evening breeze make you pleasing. The room is sparkling cleaned with towels and basic amenities. Eatery outlets or warung and minimart are at walking distance. The home stay has car or motorcycle for rent if you need one. We stayed 3 nights here and truly enjoyed. Highly recommended. We will come back to this homestay if we are back to Samosir Island 🏝.

Amazing place! Nabil and Alek are super helpful to organize everything, and the jungle trek was exceptional! Mershy is such a great guide (ask for him!), we spotted a lot of animals... special mention for the food during the trek (thanks Manto!)

Everything was perfect. Family and staff was incredible friendly and very helpful. The trekking was amazing. I saw a lot of animals in the jungle. The Bungalows are beautiful. We loved SeaGate, the owners were wonderful and great fun to be with. They (and the rest of the staff) took great care of us and were very kind. The snorkelling right off the bay in front of our bungalow was spectacular

This was such an amazing place. The owners Sarah and August welcomed us very friendly. We had a pickup at the bus station. The rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and for reasonable price. We did 3 days trekking with guide Bai and friends and had so much fun. We saw tons of animals including wild orangutan, siamangs, argus and turtles. The camping in nature was simple but very fun and the food was amazing. We felt like in a family. Thank you 🙂

Bayu, Jaka and their whole team provided the best customer service I’ve ever experienced—genuinely warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. I felt completely safe and incredibly welcome throughout my stay, which made all the difference for a solo female traveller. Every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure my visit was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They helped me organise the jungle trek which I was initially nervous about but they made sure I was comfortable with the options. I will definitely be back for a longer stay. The trek they organised was fantastic too. My guides - Ponidi and Naufal - were knowledgable, friendly and made sure we had a unique experience.

The property was very nice and clean! Deluxe room is very spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view. You could even see different animals from the balcony. Obiwan and his team were so kind and helpful. We really felt like they treated us as family instead of guests. Very genuine people. Their jungle trek is the best! They know the jungle so well and also treat the animals respectfully.

Putra, his wife Maya and the other staff at EcoTourism made our stay a memorable one. Maya is an incredible cook and very accommodating. Putra took us on a half day jungle trek ending with tubing down the river and it was the highlight of our whole trip! The accommodation is about a 30/40 minute walk from town however it’s a nice walk!
