This accomodation is 11/10. It is spacious, beautiful, clean, inspiring and relaxing. It is one of those place that influence the whole trip to the better. To the best. The terrace, the bath tub, the rooms, I don’t even know where to start. It is so good. The host Takumi (and his family) are the most wonderful people ever. He picked up our luggage and drove us to the airport. That is crazy.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. Ken san and Yuki san were delightful. The property was very clean and comfortable. They renovated the inn themselves and you can see care and attention in every detail from materials used to decor. The food was delicious and much of it was grown (rice) or made (plum wine) by Ken or Yuki. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and side trips. They ensured we were prepared with all the details required to ensure we had successful adventures. We are so lucky to have we picked the Sakonomichi. It was sugoi!!!

The guest house is very nice , the room is big cozy and good , the stuff are super nice and friendly the dinner in the palace is also good and tasty with spatial ingredients Overall highly recommended. Not only is the guest house absolutely beautiful, but the host was extremely helpful and hospitable which made this stay the best we had during our Japan trip. He drove us to Magome so that we managed to complete the Nakasendo trail just in time before the last bus departed. He also made a dinner reservation for us and drove us to an Onigiri restaurant for breakfast. We had a great stay!

We arrived on a Wednesday and the cafe was closed so it was very quiet and peaceful. The door to the cafe was open and there was a welcome sign with our name on it as we approached the back where the stay is located. There were very nice dishes, glasses, coffee cups, etc. The bunk beds were comfortable and the drapes for privacy were a plus. We went for a sake tasting down the street which was simple but nice. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back and stay longer. If you’re eating in town, you must make reservations!
