The facility that brings back childhood memories from the manga / J series. Everything is so comfortable and clean, the facility is new. Staffs are super duper nice and willing to help. Will definitely come back and highly recommend for anyone who looking for hotel in Magome!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The people working there are both friendly, helpful and caring, it felt like they had a genuine intrest in their guests. The common areas are clean and cosy with a relaxed vibe, and when I was there the guests interacted with each other so you could get to know new people if you wanted to. The place was also in walking distance to both the bus station, old part of town and to a shopping mall with a proper supermarket. If you dont want to walk, there is a 7/11 right next door, or there is the possibility to buy food and coffee at the place. If I come back to Takayama I would choose to stay here again

Excellent location right in Magome. A wonderful stopover as we walked the Nakasendo trail. The hosts, Ken and Yuki are super friendly, kind, and fluent in English which is rare in smaller hotels in Japan This small hotel is very cozy, the food is delicious and there is a small bar in-house which is great since there is not much to do in Magome at night. Rooms are spacious, traditional tatami and bed available. We had a very nice view of the mountains. Even though bathrooms are shared there are only a 5 rooms in the property, so not a lot of people and everything is spotless clean.

GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA se nachází ve čtvrti Magome v destinaci Nakatsugawa a nabízí pračku. K zajímavým místům v blízkém okolí patří Magome Wakihonjin Museum. A perfect place to stay if you are walking the Nakasendo Trail! Lovely host who also offered to book a table at an excellent restaurant in town.

I loved everything about this place. Absolutely the highlight of my trip. And funny enough, there was no other guests so I had the whole place to myself! The town is very cute and the house is just incredible. It had everything a person could ask for in an accommodation. Everything works perfectly. The design is very beautiful. The house is even more beautiful in real life. I will never forget it. I think I told Assi how much I loved it too many times :) Assi was the most helpful host, he was very friendly, curious to know about my trip, he even picked me up from the station when I unfortunately missed the train. And dropped me off to the bus stop when I wanted to visit the near village. I hope to visit it again in future. Thank you again, thank you very much.

Guest House Hinode se nachází v destinaci Takajama a poskytuje ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a klimatizací, kola zdarma a zahradu. From the moment we arrived we knew it would be a special stay. Up to that point we had stayed in regular hotels near train stations at big cities so arriving at Guest house Hinode really made our time in Takayama very different in a good way. It’s nothing fancy, but a lovely Japanese home. We had rented a car so location was ok with us, but if you are on public transport it’s about 15mins walk to town. Free parking which was great too!! Beds super comfortable, washing machine 👍 Recommend: do not miss the morning market @Takayama ! 🧡

Guesthouse Nedoko se nachází na ideálním místě ve čtvrti Magome v destinaci Nakatsugawa. Amazing and very clean place in a really beautiful area. The owner fantastic and very helpful. She pick me up from a bus stop, reserve ticket for me and even drive me to my bus stop to Nagoya! If you want a calm and cozy stay you should book this one.
