This place was incredible, I booked it last minute as my wife was arriving late and we were travelling by camper so I wanted her to get a good rest. The location feels off grid but it's only a few minutes from Tadao Ando's Water Temple at Honpukuji. It's a exquisitely renovated Minka (old style Japanese home) with a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary. The couple that runs it are so nice. They also have a pottery atelier that they spend their days making wares at and have a nice gallery shop that you can purchase. I recommend the ocean view room. Sunrise was gorgeous. I would return to Awaji just to stay here again.

We stayed here and took a day trip to kinosaki onsen, facilities were open late even after we got back and it was warm, quiet and cozy. Beds were so comfortable and they had all the amenities you might need while traveling even for a hostel. Would be more than happy to stay here again!

The place was very beautiful and very convenient, right next to the beach. The sashimi dinner was amazing and the host was very nice. Highly recommended!

Shironoshita Guesthouse nabízí pokoje v destinaci Himedži. Jen 1,8 km odtud se nachází Hrad Himedži a Omiya Hachiman Shrine je 31 km daleko. The house was was very clean, comfortable and well organized. A special mention goes to Tomo-san, my boyfriend and I suffered from food poisoning and weren't able to move to the next location, Tomo-san let us stay one more day even though that day was a festivity and the guesthouse was supposed to be closed. He really saved us and showed us what is the meaning of hospitality and generosity. I can only reccomand Shironoshita Guesthouse for all those who want to experience the true Japanese hospitality and warmth.

The location of the property is within walking distance to the attraction places. Unless you have car, 10 to 20 minutes walking distance is acceptable. The property itself is well equipped and you just bring in your stuff and can stay there for a short break like your home. The property itself is a detached single story traditional house, and is a live show case about local Japanese culture. The owner also displays promotion materials about the local environs which suitable for new comer like us in the local community. The property is a quiet place. Having said that, depends on your requirement of "quiet", the property is adjoining to a main county road which means cars are passing through day and night, though not frequent. The owner is a nice gentleman and willing at all time to give you a helping hand in providing advices in the local community such as traveling, dining and sight seeing. To a traveler, a clean, comfort and safe place to stay is essential to release of uncertainty. The property and the owner do this well.
