We booked last minute for just one night, we were lucky to find the Terrace, a small, simple and incredibly peaceful place. The room was clean and spacious, overlooking the valley, good breakfast. Host Ashan is incredibly kind and helpful. Location is a 9 min tuktuk ride from the heart of Kandy (the hotel has one) which is absolutely worth it to enjoy the view and peaceful stay at Terrace Kandy. Wonderful stay with Gihan and Dinu! We stayed twice for a total of 7 nights. A wonderful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Olde Ceylon with my family, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This charming boutique hotel is a true gem, beautifully decorated…. The owners have clearly invested a lot of love and care into this place, continually updating and enhancing the decor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hospitality at Villa Olde Ceylon is outstanding. The owners are incredibly friendly and attentive. They quickly arranged for a cheap tuktuk, when we wanted to go out for dinner. Moreover, the value for money is excellent. With such beautiful surroundings and top-notch service, you truly get more than you pay for.

It was very clean, even when you enter the room it smells clean. The hosting family was very friendly and helpful with any advices. The food was homemade and delicious, fruits and juices were made of fresh fruits from the garden. Fantastic value for money.

Všechno bylo skvělé - opravdu stojí za to tady strávil aspoň jednu noc. Hostitel je moc přívětivý, pračka zdarma, moderní vybavení (ve srovnání s jinými místy na Srí Lance). Jednoznačně dávám 6* z 5!

Hotel Hanguk Villa se nachází v Dambulle a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a terasou. Sigiriya skála je 17 km daleko. Incredible stay. Very clean and comfortable, with working AC and a ceiling fan. Both warm and cold water for the shower. Most notably, the hosts were fantastic! So welcoming and so helpful. When we arrived they drove us to a scooter rental so we could get our scooter. The one day we had to leave early to go to Sigiriya for the day and they packed us a breakfast to go. Dinner at their restaurant was affordable and delicious. On the morning we left, they drove us to the bus station and stayed with us to make sure we caught the right bus. If you’re staying in Dambulla you should definitely stay here. These may be the most helpful hosts I’ve ever had while travelling across Southeast Asia.
