The place is pretty, well maintained, and clean. Nice vibe to chill. All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the guide for a quick intro to the town, restaurants, and surf spots. I also appreciate the board with upcoming events around. Makai is at a ~6 min walk from the main street and in front of a bus stop in this main street, convenient to go to downtown or surf spots. Even more convenient if you have a motorbike. Some of the restaurants nearby are good so you can just walk to get good food. Would recommend!

Local cuisine made traditionally. Some of the best food I have had. One of the best places I have ever stayed at. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone travelling to Galle.

The owner is a really nice guy and also the man who runs the place. Helpful, kind, and makes tasty breakfast. Speciality that there was a peacock in the garden. :)

The accommodation is very centrally located and but also in a quiet side street. The beautifully furnished rooms, the green garden, the shared kitchen and the roof terrace immediately give you a wonderful feeling of being at home. Everything is super clean and is cleaned and aired daily. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. It quickly felt as if we had known them for years, as they really put so much heart into their work. We will definitely come back.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! In terms of location and being right on the beach, you can't ask for more, we loved it. The room was exceptionally clean and we really appreciated having a little fridge too, which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was very tasty, and Saman and his family looked after us during our stay. We have stayed in seven different places so far whilst in Sri Lanka, and this one is in our top two. Very accommodating hosts, helped me with everything I needed and more, for example with transfers to and from the airport. The room is very spacious and clean, and the guest house is very close to atms, supermarkets, and of course the beach.
