My husband and I decided to spend a week in Bastimentos. It is a calm place to stay at. The location is perfect, everything's nearby, and it's right in the middle of Old Bank. The deck is a great place to just relax, chill, read a book, listen to some music or watch the sunset. Even though the kitchen is small, it has most necessary things. When in need of a water taxi, please ask for Maya. He's nice, responsible, and very punctual. Finally, the star of our stay, and the cherry on top were the daily breakfast options offered by Kiosco&Pescador. Eunice was the kindest and her food was the most delicious.

The island is perfect located close to the main island if you like to join the more crowded area, but its nice to turn back to this more laid back and calm island after that. From the main island its very easy to get transport to other islands. For me as a solo traveller this was the perfect location for my travel on Bocas del Toro. Edgar is a great person and he runs his business with heart and soul. You can feel that. I had some troubles with my room and he arranged directly an other room for me. Its clean and the breakfast is good (fruits, coffee, toasts jam and eggs). The hotel is surrounded by nature sounds of birds and other animals. It was a paradise for me! Good value for the price you pay too. Staff is very friendly too
