They went out of their way to make our check in, stay and visits to the vineyard as convenient as possible. Eduardo also especially arranged a pick up and drop to and from the Pinhao railway station as he was available at the time and at a minimal fee. The place was beautiful and clean. We got to taste the Portuguese traditional cuisine for dinner and breakfast was good with plenty of options at the buffet.

We had the most wonderful retreat to the Douro hills at Quinta do Monte Travesso. We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage which was close to the main vineyard buildings but still super private. The views are stunning, and the garden with a little pool, hammock, lawn and lots of seating areas was the perfect spot to lounge in the sunshine. The fridge was stocked with breakfast things and fresh bread was delivered each morning. We barely left the Quinta as it was the perfect spot to unwind. We had a wine tasting with the winemaker which was fascinating and delicious. The bed was super comfy and everything was high quality and in good condition. We’ll definitely be back.

The hosts arranged a wine tour for us at a local winery. The accommodation was impeccably clean. The parking onsite in an enclosed garage was convenient.
