The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Location, our room was comfortable, shower wonderful. Great breakfast and staff friendly. We’ve been here before and will return again

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. This is a lovely place to spend 1 or several nights. House is immaculately kept and owners are on site and very accommodating. We very much appreciated the effort they put in to a positive guest experience.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Location excellent, beautiful house, comfortable bed and super pillows. It was immediately apparent why this is one of the highest-rated properties in Keswick - very close to the bus stop for the service to/from Penrith, just outside the central part so that it is very quiet, very roomy for a solo traveller, a host who immediately made me feel welcome and a good breakfast every morning. It's also across the road from where the Threlkeld-Keswick Railway path starts, so that was one more point in its favor. The WiFi was consistently available, and the room was cool throughout the day. Definitely helped make my stay in Keswick worthwhile and enjoyable.
