There is a little balcony as well. The bed was comfy and the bathroom and kitchen facilities were great. The hosts were very nice and helpful. They have a big dog that some people might be frightened of at first but it was very sweet and didn’t bark at all. The steps up to the room were slippery when wet - use the handrail. Some grip should really be added. No washing machine.

The area is beautifull, not crowded with tourists, beer spa was even more interesting than we excpected, with really big wooden baths (enough room for two adult or one adult and two kids as we were), and definitly we did not excpected jacuzzy in beerbath; there is rather big openair swimmimg pool with comfort relaxing area next to spa building; both pool and part of a garden were nicely lit up at night time; very friendly owners.

The location is perfect, so close to the caves and with marshrutka drop off and pick up right at the house. The surroundings are beautiful, very relaxing garden by the river, short walk to the sulfur pools and a bit longer walk to the upper vardzia nunnery. Great place to explore more of Vardzia than just the caves.
