Possible to hike to the south side of the island (best at low tide) and all the way to Yenbuba. We had a wonderful time, all the best to Paul and crew!

Arriving here feels like paradise, the water from the rack is so clear you can see the reef & fish even from here. The owner & the stuff made me feel very welcomed and they help you organising dive or snorkel trips for the next day. I went diving on one day which was really nice. You can also rent a snorkel and explore the house reef, which is already very beautiful. I really loved the bungalow and hammock. Food was also delicious. Highly recommend staying here :) Thanks so much for everything!

Words can't describe how amazing the experience was. Paparisa is a brand new, small, private and secluded homestay with the nicest houses in Kri Island by far (compared to all the other homestays). The place has five "resort level" cosy houses with ensuite semi-open air bathroom (rare in Raja Ampat), big nice comfortable beds with mosquito net, a small private terrace in each house to relax or to watch the sunset and a small restaurant to enjoy your meals (they are building a nice sunset view big restaurant which they said will be ready by September 2025). They provide towels, toilet paper and linen so no need to bring yours. They have some toiletries but better bring some extra shampoo and shower gel for your convenience. Electricity is available almost half of the day and it is more than enough to charge anything in your room! The sea is just three meters from your door so you can easily swim whenever you want. This is also very convenient for diving or excursion's pickups as the boats pick you up straight from your door to go for diving or for a trip! Also, in walking distance you can snorkel in very amazing home reefs on your own. Paparisa rents for a small amount of money snorkeling equipment and these guys can also arrange several snorkeling trips to anywhere in the area. They also have contacts around so don't hesitate to ask them for anything you need! The communication before arrival through WhatsApp was exceptional and they have helped us a lot with our planning (the boat from Waisai to Kri arranged by them and a lot more). The food in the place is very tasty and feels like home and they are willing to cater any special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan etc).

No need to book any excursions, beside Fam island, cause you had turtles, reef sharks, even mantas so very close! So loved to stay with that family! The son went out spearfishing for a nice meal ... would love to come back, no better place to snorkeling like 6 hours a day 🤩😊😘. Thanks a lot 😘😘😘

This place looks so beautiful, the family have created such a beautiful, place with shells and driftwood decorating everything, we loved it. The food was incredible and the room was very comfy. The house reef was beautiful and we saw mantas straight from our room! Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay.

Feri and his family were so welcoming. They could answer all our questions and point us in the right direction. Also nothing was too much trouble and they were really accommodating with us wanting to do excursions with limited notice. The views from the huts are stunning, it's nice to be able to walk to the local villages and the snorkelling from the homestay jetty is brilliant - we even saw a dugong!

We were lucky to find this gem!!! Husna is one of a kind. Her generosity to make things easy for us was incredible; transport, ferry tickets, recommendations of where to eat and more. Communication was seamless and the breakfast and bed were the best we have had in raja amput. Thanks Husna for your warmth, care, kindness and amazing smile! We will be back. Highly recommend Sandy guesthouse for a night on the way in or out from the islands.

This is the right place to start your journey to discover Raja Ampat and the island of Waigeo. Husna, the guesthouse's owner, is a great host. She is very friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great time with her. She organized everything we needed and booked the trips for us.

Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! Don’t compare it to any other parts of Indonesia (certainly not...
