The owner is very relaxed and courteous gentleman.

We stayed just one night but it was definitely one of our highlights! Close to an amazing beach and their pool is amazing! Super clean place! Friendly owner!

The location was very convenient — just a few minutes’ walk from the ADO bus terminal. There is also a nice park nearby that seems to be the center of the town, with many restaurants around it. The colectivo stop for Chichén Itzá is also within walking distance. There was also a bank nearby, and I was able to withdraw cash from the ATM around 9 PM without any problem. Basically, most things are within a few minutes’ walk. I arrived at night, and the staff kindly told me that I could pay the next day, which was very helpful. The hostel has a kitchen and a water dispenser, which is very useful. I didn’t use it myself, but they can also help you book tours. The staff were very kind and always explained things clearly when I had questions.

The rooms are actually a sideline for the art gallery in front, but honestly, on their own, the rooms are beautifully appointed and chic, comfortable and cool, modern yet appreciative of the rich history and culture of the area. BOOKS! The staff was more than welcoming - owner Luca made me coffee and chatted like an old friend. The location also cannot be beaten - mere blocks away from the action, but you’ll hear roosters and the occasional dog, not buses and hawkers.
