Thanks to their advice, I went to Deer Cave on the first day and saw the bat exodus before the weather turned bad. The room was comfortable with air conditioning — a very pleasant surprise!

We had a wonderful stay at Seladah Homestay. The property consists of two combined houses, making it quite spacious with a total of eight rooms (two rooms downstairs and the rest upstairs). It features an RFID door lock system and an automatic gate with a remote, so there’s no need to use a traditional key. We arrived late at night, but self-check-in was convenient, allowing us to settle in without waiting for the owner. The homestay also offers high-speed Wi-Fi, estimated at around 500 Mbps. Since all guests live under the same roof, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your housemates. Our rooms, located upstairs, were designed for two people and came with private bathrooms, which was very convenient. The living room has TVs available for use, and a washing machine is beneath the staircase. The parking area accommodates about three cars inside the compound and two additional cars outside. The owner was also very responsive to my inquiries. Thank you very much for a great experience! I will definitely return for my next stay. :)

Pokoj jednoduchý (jak jsme čekali), ale čistý, maximálně ochotný majitel, na uvítanou byla nachystána voda, k dispozici čaj na uvaření, lednice na pokoji, dokonce je zde i pračka, jeden den nám majitel donesl místní snídani. Naproti domu stánek s fantastickými kokosovými fresh nápoji, co kousek nějaké občerstvení a ta nálada místních... Jsme nadšeni z tohoto ubytování!

It is the perfect spot to explore Taman Nagara Santubong National Park, the Pamai Rainforest, and Bako National Park! Hosts Emily and Willis are wonderful — great recommendations, fun conversation, and free rides in the local area! The home stay itself is beautiful with birds and monkeys visible from the pool! Delicious free breakfast included and super cheap laundry services. Such a wonderful place… we can’t wait to return!!

They helped un sort out the bus from Sandakan/Sepilok to Kota Kinabalu as you can not book it online, only in Sandakan bus station. They also helped us with other things like the laundry or recomendations of restaurants and made our stay more comfortable. The rooms are clean, comfortable and so is the bathroom, which has separate shower and toilet (best shower in Malaysia so far). They have things you may need like toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel, etc. There are snacks for guests and you also can buy drinks and instant noodles if neccesary. Thank you so much for your kindness, we are very very grateful!!!!
