He is happy to take you around town, and really makes you feel like family. This enhances the homestay experience and gives a small insight into life in a Newari household.

Housed in a building dating from 2022, this homestay is 3 km from Swayambhunath Temple and 4.1 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, private check-in and check-out and currency exchange for guests. Nir and his wife are very kind, lovely and helpful people. We enjoyed staying at their homestay and we had everything we needed. The room was cozy and quite, bed comfy and the bathroom clean. I think I had the best night's sleep here in many months of travelling. It is a little outside the city centre, but we didn't mind walking through the nice neighbourhood everyday at all. We would definitely stay here again! P.s. check out the rooftop, there's an amazing view over the city.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. I loved absolutely everything about my stay! After the hustle and bustle of the main locations in Nepal, coming to Namaste Homestay made my heart sing. the view from the room was amazing and the fresh mountain air just made so happy! Every morning i would wake up super early and look at the scenery changing from dawn to day, it was like experiencing heaven! there is a little garden where you can sit, eat, read a book and sip a cup of tea. They grow their own vegetables and herbs and it feels so good to sit in peace there. The owners are amazing good people, and when i couldn’t find a ride to go back towards Kathmandu, they gave me a moto ride to the closest town. They have a lovely family and there are always kids around that will definitely steal you a smile or a laugh or a little play! The wifi works very well. Namobuddha is reachable by an easy walk and everyone is lovely around the village. What a gem! Definitely recommended Thank you again, so much love, i will come back!

It is set 300 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and offers a 24-hour front desk. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Best hotel I stayed in in Nepal. Its clean and modern, internet was good enough to work from, the breakfast was very tasty and they catered to my special needs, which was very nice (I am celiac and cant eat wheatflour). Also the location is great and I enjoyed Bhaktapur, which is a very nice city.

I stayed in Nirvana Kuti following the recommendation of Linda, a wonderful woman that I met in Delhi airport. She was indeed accurate: Nirvana Kuti is such a beautiful accomodation, comfortable, clean and pretty new. It was easy to feel home. Besides the comfort of the room, with a big, warm bed, with views to the temple just in front of the house, it is located just a few steps from Durbar square, in a very calm street. I slept extremely well and woke up to the beautiful views. Life is magical and I met Bobby, the owner of Nirvana Kuti, even before my stay. He kindly offered me a ride to Nirvana Kuti, and he made it very easy for me to feel home. Even more, he also allowed me to stay a bit longer because my bus was leaving in the evening. I appreciate Bobby's kindness and the beautiful taste in which the house is built. It is both comfortable and stylish, and the location couldn't be better. Thank you Bobby for making of my last days in Kathmandu (for this time) a beautiful experience and see you next time ♡

With city views, Laxmi Homestay with main square view is situated in Bhaktapur and has a restaurant and room service. The property has quiet street views and is 200 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. I chose this homestay based on previous comments and they were not lying. You couldn’t hope for a better host than Navin. He doesn’t do it for business but for the pleasure to welcome and share his culture, and you can trully feel it. I got to spend 3 dinners with his family, he showed me his yoga/meditation routine and he took me with him for all the prayers/ceremony in the early morning (+many teas and talks). All of that in just one day! The homestay is PERFECTLY located, there is a rooftop and hot shower. The dorm is quite small but beds are comfy, with curtains, own fan and power socket. If you want to expérience the local life, you have your place.

With garden views, Sunrise Point Homestay is situated in Nagarkot and has a restaurant and room service. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the homestay free of charge. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy views of the mountain and lake. This place is just the best. If you’re seeking a true, down to earth Nepali experience, look no further. Such a WONDERFUL, caring family surrounded by exceptional nature, freshly preparing every meal with ingredients all grown right in their garden. The room is simple yet totally sufficient, if you’re wanting swanky hotel room comfort then you don’t suit this place anyway. It’s just bliss, honestly. Such a beautiful escape from the world and such lovely company. If you’re lucky with the weather you’ll catch a sunrise over the Himalayas right from your bedroom, but that’s certainly not the main attraction. Stop searching and book this place now, (and add an extra night or two to what you were originally planning)

Offering a garden and garden view, Jungle Crown Organic Homestay is located in Nagarkot, 10 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 18 km from Boudhanath Stupa. It is set 20 km from Pashupatinath and offers bicycle parking. Free private parking is available and the homestay also provides car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. This place is really the nicest surprise to discover! Very nice treehouses and cabins. A great area outside for socializing and very tasty food! The owners are ultimately helpful and friendly. Surely recommended if you are searching for a place close to Kathmandu (45 min by car)where you are in middle of nature. Walking distance to suspension bridge Nagarkot, waterfall, 2km long (very high!!!) Superman Zipline Nagarkot. Beautiful walking area.
