I stayed at Go Yala Hostel for one night before my Yala safari, and it was an excellent choice. The hostel is very clean, comfortable, and surrounded by real village and farm views, which makes the stay peaceful and authentic. The dorm beds were comfortable, the A/C worked well, and there are nice common areas to relax. The biggest highlight was the sharing Yala safari arranged directly by the hostel. It was well organized, affordable, and the jeep and guide were very professional. Everything was smooth from pickup to drop-off. The eco kitchen experience and local food were a nice bonus and felt very genuine. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. If you’re a backpacker or budget traveler visiting Yala National Park, this hostel is perfect. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tissamaharama.

Wonderful hosts — Anton, Vinny, and Aruna truly know how to make you feel at home and maintain a warm, pleasant atmosphere. There’s a cozy bonfire in the evenings and a lovely tea service that makes the experience even more relaxing. The rooms are very neat, spotless, and comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful and always ready to assist. They adapted to our food requirements (dairy free, gluten free, etc) Had a wonderful 2-day stay here. Highly recommended.

I loved this place. It is a bit 'in the wild' but that is the beauty of it - it is right next to the park and there are lots of animals (especially birds) to see. The owner was very friendly and arranged pick-up for me and bought some curd and treacle to try. He also played pool with me (yes, there is a large and well kept pool table there.) As it was quiet when I was there he kindly gave me a better room for the same price. He also owns riverside cabanas which I recommend staying at.# Nearby is a beautiful beach that looks prehistoric and you can walk along the sand dunes.
