My favorite hostel during my trip to South America, no one else. There are many rules for check-in, but I like it this way. We make it clear in advance and follow it, so that everyone can maintain a good atmosphere in the youth hostel. The kitchen is large, with two sets of stoves, so everyone can cook without waiting for a long time. In Calafate in January, the sunset is very late, and the kitchen has great lighting. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The opening time is also suitable for the tours. The toilet and shower are very clean, the hot water for bathing is very large, and there is a hair dryer. It is not far from the bus station on foot, and it is convenient for public transportation. There is a small blue house at the intersection, which is a supermarket. It sells delicious beef and reasonable-priced Coke, hahaha.

With scenic views of Calafate´s mountains and lake, this hostel is a 7-minute walk from downtown Calafate. It features accommodation with floor heating, free Wi-Fi, communal kitchen and laundrette. View was fantastic; bar & food a great addition; safe, warm and welcoming space; knowledgable and interested staff; while basic, the rooms are super smartly designed with quality material; restorative hot shower; common areas provided good hangout place for reading, recovering after long hike; quiet location, etc.

The host was very friendly, kind and helpful before and during the stay (and we asked him one million things, he never stopped responding and offering his help🫶🫶). Every morning he prepared a very tasty, large, homemade breakfast for everyone (he made the yogurt and jam himself). This was very helpful since hiking days in patagonia are kinda exhausting. The heating was working very well also!! We felt like home ❤️

Incredible hostel, has absolutely everything one may need, comfortable, great location, close to the main trailheads. The people who work there are wonderful- helpful, with great advice about the trails and immediately make you feel right at home. Everything was exceptionally clean. Could not recommend this place more and can’t wait to stay here again.

Woow I was so surprised by hospitality of host. I booked last minute . Came after midnight. She was not sleeping and waiting me . And not with angry face but with smile and gave me room without nobody inside (even if I booked 4 beds dormitory) . Like this I didn’t disturbed sleeping people . Everything was net and tidy in the structure . I was able to use all kitchen Coffe/tea even after 00:00 when I checked in. In the morning lady made all possible to find taxi as I was heading to airport early morning .hospitality 5 stars ! Would come back again :)
