The hostel has a PERFECT location, we loved to walk there, we found different routes with amazing views, for our family this distance from the center was an advantage! (15min slow enjoying walk) They have a cool bbq place in the forest,with all necessary things, you just need to buy some meat and marshmallows from Coop. The owners are very friendly and helpful! The room was nice,cozy and clean! The house looks old and very authentic. There is a big kitchen with all the equipment and a fridge, where you can put your food. In the morning, we enjoyed our breakfast, just 7min walk from the hostel, in the opposite direction of the town, in an amazing place with alpacas. Bathrooms are very clean, if you worry that you need to share it - forget about it, the hostel is empty all day - everyone is hiking. The check in and out hours are also very convenient. I definitely recommend this hostel❤️

It feels like a five-star hotel, even though it's a hostel. I love their breakfast, the view from our windows, the friendly staff, the dining/lounge area, and the overall cleanliness everywhere! Five francs a day for parking is okay.

Amazing view of the mountains from the hostal. The facilities were very clean and the staff was very friendly. Plus I loved the breakfast. Highly recommend the place, good value for money.

Exceptional location next to the train station and within walking distance of the town center, but still a very quiet and peaceful place. Convenient accommodation for visiting the surrounding towns of Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Murren, Wengen, Brienz...etc. Across the street is a Coop supermarket. Well organized and very clean hostel. Breakfast is excellent, rich and varied. Highly recommend, for visiting the Berner Oberland region. Iwould stay here again.

This place is heaven on earth and if not, it gets damn close. The walk to the lake takes an hour, you can slide and have the fun of your life with newly forged friendships, have the best meal ever in the restaurant and get to meet the wonderful staff and the local population there, watch the sunset at the lake or watch the sunrise if you wake up early in your bed. The day you will spend here will be one for the ages, please don't miss out!
