I stayed 2 weeks in this well managed, quiet and intimate hostel in a prime Santiago location within close proximity to many desirable tourist friendly establishments such as quaint cafes, fine restaurants and small markets. There is also a bustling nightlife area with numerous bars and live music venues about a 10 minute walk away. Many of Santiago's tourist attractions including the historic centre of town are easily accessible on foot. I had a room with a spacious private bathroom and large comfortable bed. The water pressure was good and hot water was readily available. The hostel's wifi reception was good. It was quiet here at night and I got a good nights sleep throughout my stay. The hostel provided a complimentary hearty breakfast for guests and the kitchen facilities were well equipped and kept clean. The hostel staff and in particular the owner/manager Christian were all courteous, professional, accommodating and English speaking. The hostel includes a small coffee shop that sells delicious sandwiches, cakes and beverages. Guests of the hostel receive a 10% discount on purchases. This was a wonderful and welcoming place to stay for my 2 weeks in Santiago as a solo senior (65 yr old) traveller. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Santiago.

It is close to the airport so it is very convenient and I cannot say enough about how nice and helpful Henry is to help me find the bus schedules and to send a driver to pick me up. Both times I must leave very early in the morning and my breakfast is ready for me and the driver is there, on time. Thank you Henry.

Hostal Boutique Casa La Barca se nachází v Santiagu, 3,9 km od centra Costanera, a nabízí zahradu, terasu, sdílený lounge a bezplatné Wi-Fi. I spent a few nights here. Pamela is lovely and very welcoming and helpful; she had loads of recommendations and tips for the city. It’s more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel so it’s much cozier! It’s very close to restaurants and public transport. I definitely recommend!

Hostal Sol y Luna - a 10 min del aeropuerto & Desayuno Incluido. The most welcoming corner of Santiago. Lovely staff and lovely little dog Gordito!

I needed a convenient, last-minute place to stay for the night close to the airport following a flight cancellation. This accommodation fit the bill. Clean, comfortable and friendly, the owner responded quickly to my last minute booking and was waiting for me on arrival, which I was grateful for as it was late and dark. I even received an upgrade without asking as the owner could see I'd had a big day. I was also offered an airport transfer for my return the airport the following day at a competitive and reasonable price. Thanks again for your kindness.

We talked a lot and enjoyed hanging out together in the living room in front of the fire. He helped us navigate around El Cajón de Maipo and in general just had a very relaxed vibe to him.

The house is a beautiful, historic building located on a peaceful street, conveniently near various shops, cafes, and a supermarket. The airport is a mere 25-minute drive away. The location is impeccably maintained. The owners were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and always eager to assist with any needs. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and remarkably quiet.

Ventana Sur Hostal se nachází v destinaci Santiago a poskytuje sezónní venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. Honestly. still my favorite hostel in Santiago, by far! Ivan is a superstar. He genuinely loves his work and that shows in his interactions with the people in the hostel (even when some of them are more demanding). His energy creates an incredible family-like atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to interact with other solo travelers, eat together, chill together and more. This was my 3rd time in the hostel and everything is as I remember - clean spaces, rooms, spacious dorms, huge private room, nice pool and outside area, great kitchen, always available toilets/bathrooms. Bonus: The neighbourhood is probably the most interesting, while still being super safe ones in Santiago. It's got good coffee, food, vibes and more all within a few blocks. I plan to be back everytime I spend a few days in Santiago.
