In one word- wow One of the most unique, beautiful and calm places you will find in South America, no less. The owner and staff are mostly French, so it’s somewhat different than Colombian places, but in a good way 😁 The food is pretty good, not gourmet but satisfying and you can see that they try hard to make everyone feel welcome and satisfied. Dimitry, the owner, is funny and cute. I wish we could stay longer because this place empties your worrying mind and fills your heart with happiness.

Non-stick frying pan. This is truly a boutique hostel. There’s a TV with Netflix and wonderful views from the hostel — no need to go anywhere. The kitchen is well-equipped. The reception is pleasant. Everything is designed with great taste and style. I especially want to highlight the host, David Jaramillo. He is one of those rare people who are not just doing a job, but following a calling. He creates a uniquely cozy atmosphere full of care. You feel like a valued guest.

We booked here for an overnight stay to get from Salento to Bogota (as many people do here) and it was the perfect decision. When you arrive in Armenia bus terminal just take a Taxi which should costs 5K Pesos and brings you there in 5 minutes. If they haven’t changed it yet, the pin on google maps points to the wrong house on the other side of the street, but for the taxi drop-off that doesn‘t matter much. You are welcomed by a super friendly elderly couple, José and Estrella. Simple, cosy and quiet rooms with one shared bathroom on the same floor – everything very clean. They serve you a very decent colombian breakfast on the veranda in front of a beautiful garden, sometimes even a bird-watching spectacle included ;-) It was definitely one of the most lovely experiences with hosts in our 3-month Colombia journey. To get back to the bus terminal on the next morning, Estrella just called a taxi for us. It arrived 5 minutes after. Everything super easy and enjoyable.

Good location in downtown Manizales. 10-15 min walk from the bus station cable car.
