Very clean and pleasant decor especially the patio. The staff was super friendly and gave me excellent recommendations.

It's like a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. Tastefully decorated to delight the eye as well as to invite guests to truly enjoy and relax in this special place, a gorgeous view of a spread of mountains from the front porch, also a starting point for short and longer walks into woods, fields and nearby neighbouring mountain village/s. Plenty of attention to details to make anyone's stay just wonderful (eg the homemade bread is the best I've had in South America and the coffee too!) super clean: bed, bathroom, hosts super super helpful and friendly. Can't ask for more, really! I am definitely taking time off from travel to go back and chill !

NOMAD Hostal - Barichara se nachází v destinaci Barichara a má zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a bar. No glass windows. Never stayed in a hostel where all the doors and windows are open. It had the doors to circulate the air inside the bunks. Wonderful sleep. The best hostel I've ever stayed in.

Traveler Hostel se nachází v destinaci San Gil a má venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. It is a great value for such place. I have stayed there more than a week because I wanted to retreat myself from last 2.5 months’ tiredness of traveling:) The hostel people are so friendly and hospitable. If you want to do activities, the hostel can arrange all kind of tours you can do around San Gil. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook. You can chill in the pool upstairs at a beautiful garden with the view of town. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to go back to San Gil one day!

Nacuma Garden Hostel - Casa Nacuma se nachází v destinaci Barichara a má zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. I tried a few hostels in Barichara and this one was by far my favorite! Amazing location, close to everything but in a quiet street. The dorm room was huge, with comfortable beds and big lockers. The kitchen had enough equipment to cook and the common bathrooms/showers were clean and had hot water. You can also do laundry for a fee and get breakfast of eggs/arepa/fruit/coffee for 10k. Camilo is friendly and helpful and speaks perfect English in case your Spanish is not quite good yet! This place is really peaceful and welcoming, it felt like a little home and it was easy to meet other people. Great wifi as well!

Loved how much they help with tours and everything you need. The hostel has such a great vibe aswell if you want to just relax and chill. I would recommend staying here to everyone I tell about going to san gil. All the workers are amazing and go above and beyond. They have little free experiences aswell like tejo, Spanish lessons and football. It honestly is the best place we stayed extra nights because we loved it that much. San gil is the nicest place and this hostel accomodate you in every way possible. The owner is amazing aswell. I needed help with medication and he came to help translate everything. Can’t express on how great this place is

Our favorite hotel from our colombian trip: beautiful spacious room with a private balcony, comfy bed, hammacs to chill outside, beautiful greenery. It's close to the center and is yet really quiet and feels like a secluded piece of paradise

Nice place to stay a couple of days. It's a quiet place, surrounding by nature. We met a friendly dog and cat. The owner was not present but managed to provide what was needed for a good stance.

The atmosphere was super friendly, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for meeting fellow travelers.
