The zostel is so much cleaner than every other Hotel or Hostel i stayed in! The bedsheets where white and clean. No dust or dirt on the floor! Is is not only clean but very cosy! The location is also perfect if you want to be close to the bus stand and nature at the same time. It has a nice view over the town. There is also a restaurant that has many options you can choose from. Really delicious! If you need something or have any problems, then contact the staff! They are really friendly and try to make your stay as memorable as possible!

I intended to stay here for only 1 night, but it ended up being 4 because I loved it so much. I’ve stayed in a fair amount of hostels as a solo traveler, but this is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. It is situated close to the beach & restaurant area, & the property itself has a big common area & a beautiful outside area to meet & hang out with staff & other travelers. what makes this place unique, however, is the people who run it - they are so friendly, welcoming, & really care about you. If you are thinking of coming to varkala, then “Hostel Stories” is where you want to stay at for the good vibes!

Me and my partner booked a private stay and loved our time. The place is very beautiful with an amazing view of the valley. It's also in close proximity ( approx 2 km walking) of the Kodai town, making it an ideal place if you love to Walk and enjoy the quiet (we ended up doing a lot of walking, as we like it!!) The hosts are amazing, they are very approachable and cool people to hang around with. The food is yummy as well:) Highly recommended if you are looking for even a private stay with a bit of socializing (you can choose not to as well ☺️). I was also working the whole time I was there, they have a very good and stable Internet connection, making it a good option for digital nomads.

This place is definitely one of the most awesome hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts are just really cool and relaxed guys who include everyone and provide a magic experience on a quiet part of the main beach of Gokarna. Every night they organised some kind of games (from poker, to mafia over or music sessions that let you feel like home. Everybody is welcomed to join, nobody is forced to. If you just want to relax l, you’re also able to do so. The dorms are super tidy and cleaned every day. The common area is inviting and let you either hang out the whole day or just a bit in the night either how you prefer. The beach is directly in front of the door step and the sea amazing to bath in. The food is really pleasant for a fair price and you want to try ally of it. I recommend their Shakshuka and Gobi Manchurian. If you have the chance to stay at this special gem at the coast of Gokarna, don’t miss it. You will definitely not regret it. Thank you so much guys for this unique experience. If I ever come back to South India, I’ll make sure to visit you again. Here I felt like home far away from home.

I had an amazing stay at The Chill House. Niaz is a wonderful host and made me feel at home from the first minute. He has great recommendations about Kochi and the Backwaters and took me several times for a ride around town and tea. Also, I could leave my backpack with him for some days while exploring nearby places. I will definitely be back next time I am in Kochi. Don't hesitate booking Niaz pla ce!
