There were a lot of activities one could join like jungle hikes, lake swimming or sunset tours. If you had an idea to do something the host was always ready to help organise it. He also helped me with my travel plans and dropped me off at thebus station. I will miss this place, the jungle vibe and the people I met during my stay.

Staying in this hostel feels like a genuine cultural experience as you feel part of the family and the two little children are always running around and wanting to interact with you. Nimeshikha serves a delicious breakfast every day and she has her restaurant on site if you wish to eat lunch or dinner! My top tip: don't book any tours on Getyourguide as Nimeshikha's husband can arrange everything at a cheaper price! I arrived in Sigiriya with no plan, but the two hosts were able to advise me and help me organise everything. I extended my stay by two more nights and had three beautiful days exploring Sigiriya and nearby sites. A big thank you to Nimeshikha and Nuwan!

Kani was a really nice host! He took us a Sunrise to Pidurangala Rock & showed us Elephants! It was really nice to stay at his new Hostel & I wish him luck with establishing it more. Stay at his place, it is really good Value for Money. I hope i can stay again somewhere in the future.

I love their cabin consepts! So fun and authentic. Everything was comfy and clean. Its not that far from the rocks, i dont mind walking. Everyone was very nice and lovely, we looked tired upon arriving and they brought us tea to settle down before checking in. They helped alot with booking reasonable priced tuktuks which is nice consider the locals always try to up the price to tourists.

We took a beautiful walk at sunset and his mother has cooked us an amazing breakfast! If you pass by Sigiriya you absolutely have to stop here ;)

This hostel is without a doubt a perfect place to stay. It has such calm and positive vibes, making it ideal for relaxing. The owner is very kind, welcoming, and always ready with helpful information. Cleanliness is maintained at the highest standard, which adds to the comfort. The breakfast is far above the usual hostel standard—more like what you’d expect in a 3–4 star hotel. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience filled with good energy, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable stay.

The location is just perfect, you are away from the loud and crowded places but still a walkable distance to anywhere, you are surrounded by nature you can also see deers in the morning it’s truly magical! Diwakara and his family are all the sweetest people that take you in and you feel so much at home. The beds are comfortable and the shower is nice and strong, which you don’t get everywhere. The only problem is that you might not want to leave this place EVER. 😆

Incredibly new and clean, with great facilities. Looked after by the most beautiful family who makes the best breakfast in Sri Lanka. The coconut pancakes are incredible! Channa is a fantastic host, always checking in and offering to help with anything you need.

Staying at Hello Aliya feels less like a hostel and more like staying at an old friend’s house. The owner Isu is incredibly kind and respectful. The hostel is brand new so everything is incredibly clean. It is situated just off the main road. 2 minute walk to the bus stop, 10 mins walk to the entrance of Lion’s Rock, and a 10 minute drive to Pidurangala peak. I really enjoyed my stay there. As a solo woman, I felt safe and welcomed. The breakfast is lovely and the staff even taught me how to play carrom. After one month of traveling Sri Lanka, this is by far my favorite hostel.
