Kwabahal Boutique Hostel was my preferred accomodation in Kathmandu. Simply because the location was perfect. It is tucked-in in an alley and it has a nice garden/cafe to relax in. The street sound is muted so one can enjoy the serenity of the place. Secondly, all the staff display such heartwarming hospitality with endless smiles. A huge plus for me was also the clean and spotless showers and toilets, the cleanest by far during my visit in Nepal.

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the dorm room on the top floor, which was comfortable and well-maintained. The rooftop restaurant is a perfect spot to relax, enjoy good food, and spend time chatting with friends. Overall, I really loved my stay here and would definitely recommend it!

Location is just perfect, close to monasteries and the monkey temple, it's 15 min walking to thamel so luckily not in the middle of the touristic chaos, the staff was amazing, hope to see you again soon!

Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Not pushy at all. So nice. And my room THE BEST. I was in a bird’s nest in the BIRD’s NEST. Grounds so pretty and quiet also. Always hot water, everything clean, everyone genuinely smiling. Such a pleasant stay in the city i know and visit very very frequently but always stay away from the center. I had to be in the city this time and had some reservations. Bird’s Nest was such a welcome

Sunny and the staff of best hostel really made our stay at Kathmandu extra special. Sunny is so welcoming and hospitable and always makes you smile after a big day of walking around. Such a beautiful Hostel with a lovely common room and garden that you can eat all your delicious meals in that you can order from there in house restaurant!!

The location was great, it was very easy to get around everywhere, the food was great, and the rooms felt clean and comfortable! The best part is honestly the people working here. They have become like family to me <3 I was staying here for almost a month and a half in spring of 2024 but I wouldn't have stayed as long as I did had I not bonded as hard as I did with Bishwo and Lena especially. We would eat together often, go out together, spend many late nights talking or jamming together or with other hostel guests and friends from the area, we made so much fun together! We'd spent the Newari new year together (Biska Jatra) and even took little day trips to Nagarkot for hiking and swimming. Staying here was a very special experience for me as I am sure it was for many other guests who have had the pleasure of getting to know the Swastik Hostel crew <3 I cannot wait to come back and see everyone. So much love to you Hostel Swastik, I miss you so much, and thank you for that time. If you are reading this, do consider staying here, I talk about this place to my friends all the time, it is very worth coming to Bhaktapur and staying at Hostel Swastik (:
