The story of Adlerhorst began in 1978 when my grandparents, Gerda and Hans Klimmer, built the beloved guest house we now run. Before that, Gerda had already made her mark with the Jagerstube, a cozy local restaurant where the idea for Adlerhorst was born. For 46 years, my Oma poured her heart into the guest house, making it a home away from home for many. In 2024, it was time for the next generation—my parents, Otto and Natalie, my sister Issy, and me—to carry on the tradition. Otto, a St. Jakob native and mountain guide, met Natalie, an Aussie ski bum, in the ‘90s. Together, they built a life in North America, raising Issy and me in Canada while keeping strong ties to Austria and Australia. In 2024, we reunited in St. Anton to take over Adlerhorst. Now, Otto guides visitors through the mountains, Issy works in the area, and Mum and I manage the guest house. It’s a true family effort, blending Canadian hospitality with Aussie charm. We hope every guest feels as at home here as we do.

St Jakob is the neighbouring village to St Anton Am Arlberg. We are only 1km away from St Anton and the free ski bus runs every 15 minutes. St Jakob is a much more traditional style Austrian village with quiet and peaceful evenings.
