We’ve been hosting for two years strong and love welcoming guests from near and far. We take pride in creating a clean, comfortable, and stylish space (Molly’s a bit of a clean freak!) with thoughtful touches that make your stay extra special. Our goal is for you to feel at home the moment you arrive, enjoy everything Forster has to offer, and leave with memories that bring you back year after year. One Mile Horizon is perched above One Mile Beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, especially on a stunner of a day. Whether you’re here for swimming, surfing, or simply strolling along the sand, it’s a must-do. Families love the Forster RSL, with its huge outdoor play area and games room – perfect for kids while parents sit back and relax. The golf club is just a 5-minute stroll away, offering great lunch specials and a friendly local raffle. Coffee lovers are spoiled for choice – Swoop Café (10-minute stroll), Boston Brew (our local with the best early-morning coffee and BLTs), plus Beach Bums and Tartt in town. For dinner, our top picks are Si Senorita (Mexican), Spice Monkey (Asian fusion), and Bella Bellissimo (Italian). For adventures, hire a boat for the day, explore Pacific Palms and “Recky,” or take a walk across the Forster–Tuncurry Bridge to enjoy the lake views and stunning beaches. A local favourite is to climb to the top of the One Mile sand dune (or take the back roads for an easier route) for a sunset drink – it’s magical and won’t disappoint.
