Surgeon`s Cottage Is a beautiful sandstone cottage built in 1845 which is situated right amongst the boutiques, galleries and cafes in the heritage village of Morpeth. This charming cottage is self catering on an exclusive-use basis, for up to 4 people, with open fires, modern kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds with luxurious linen, ducted air-conditioning. A delightful rear fountain garden with barbecue, a sandstone verandah across he front of the cottage with views beyond the river and paddocks to the Brokenback Range. Loft Cottage. Is a quaint unique cottage in the garden of the Surgeon`s Cottage, catering on an exclusiv-use basis for up to 4 people. The Cottage is air conditioned, and has ceiling fans in both bedrooms. One bedroom, bathroom, lounge/dining and kitchen is downstairs, the other is a loft bedroom up sharp stairs, which requires some agility to access. Across the front of the cottage is a large verandah overlooking the serene garden and barbecue area. Additional in both cottages. Laundry with washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, and clothes line. Pets (small dogs) are welcome, please advise when booking as there is an additional charge and conditions.

Morpeth is a charming and historic village settled in the early 1800`s, and today is National-Trust classified. Idyllically situated along the banks of the Hunter River with its unique combination of history, heritage and beauty, this country village is the ideal base to explore all the Hunter region has to offer. While wandering along the stone paved streets, taking in the interesting assortment of specialty stores, cafes, galleries, featuring everything from local craft, antiques, unique jewellery, gourmet cheese chocolate and lolly shops, all of which are right on your doorstep. Across the road from the cottage is the river and boat ramp, ideal for kayaking or fishing off the jetty. The Cottages are 2 hours drive north of Sydney CBD 5 minutes to East Maitland golf course 15 minutes to Tocal 30 minutes to Pokolbin wineries 35 minutes to Newcastle beaches and airport. 40 minutes to the marinas of Port Stephens
