After 17 years of living in Port Macquarie we began searching for a tree change to escape the rat race, we stumbled upon this rural retreat in December 2021 and knew it was going to be our home. Telegraph Retreat cottages have been providing luxury farm-stay accommodation for over 10 years and we are so excited to now share it with you! Telegraph Retreat Cottages are situated between the Cairncross State Forest to the south and the Ballengarra State Forest to the north. The picturesque Wilson River is a five minute drive down the road and activities include waterskiing, fishing, swimming, kayaking, mountain bike riding, bush walking, four-wheel-driving, exploring streams, creeks and picnicking. We are surrounded by other rural properties, wildlife, farm animals and the Pacific Highway is an easy five minute drive from the property, along sealed roads. The thriving tourist town of Port Macquarie is a 15 minute drive south, with many attractions and holiday activities for people of all ages. Experience the pristine coastline, national parks and a multitude of cafes and restaurants, art and cultural experiences. Visit Stoney Park for an adventurous day out, Ricardos Tomatoes and Strawberry Farm for a fruit picking experience or the excellent wildlife park at the Billabong Zoo!
