Hi I am Sara and have worked in travel industry as cabin crew for over 30 years. I have been lucky enough to have traveled the world and yet Europe, Dubrovnik and Bosnia have a special place in my heart. You cant beat our history! I now manage 22 family villas and 2 apartments for friends and for guests that enjoyed their stay so much, that they are now villa owners. As we have grown in size, we now have our own company Bozholidays Ltd and are proud to support the local economy and so giving you a warm local welcome. We pride ourselves by offering you spotlessly clean, comfortable and stylish accommodation, all with pools though some have Jacuzzi’s or Jet-pools. But ALL Of them have views to dream of over the valley to the Adriatic Sea. Everyone knows of Dubrovnik and Croatia, but not everyone has experienced the raw, Jurassic and stunning landscape that you see when visiting Bosnia and travelling to sights like Mostar. As it is so affordable to drink and eat out it leaves you more time to look after yourself relax and spend time with your friends. From every angle this villa oozes indoor and outdoor stylish living! Upstairs there are 3 large, comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms sleeping 8. The Master bedroom has a King-size bed, its own dressing room area and en suite bathroom. A further 2 Master rooms with King-sized beds, share a family bathroom. When you wake in the morning, simply open the curtains and enjoy the natural breathtaking views to the Adriatic Sea from the comfort of your bed! Take a break from the heat and relax in the cool, contemporary designed open plan lounge with large comfortable sea-blue sofas, satellite TV, internet access, air-conditioning and patio doors opening onto the terraces with sea views. The fully fitted kitchen, complete with a food preparation island and a couple of bar stools, makes a great place to have a snack or breakfast. It is well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, all there to make cooking so much easier and allowing you more time to holiday. Adjoining the kitchen is a large modern dining table and chairs for you all to enjoy meals together in the cooler months. If you don’t fancy cooking indoors then outdoors is a brick BBQ and dining table so you can dine alfresco by the pool. To round off the evening,enjoy sitting around the fire-pit watching the sun as it sets over the valley and the moon as it rises betweeen the mountains. Sunbathe by your own private pool which can be heated in the cooler months. Sun loungers, pool towels, umbrellas and tables and an outdoor shower are also provided for your comfort with plenty of designed shade being found under the balconies. Please note Villa Mika is a part of an ongoing building development (no work is carried out on our development in the summer months but there may be light work carried out on properties in the area). Villa Mika is located in a small quiet family resort just over the border in the Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. Please be aware that there could be delays at our border crossings, usually it is like passing through traffic lights, but in July and August, the height of the season, you may have a delay of 15-20 min. Please contact me before booking if you would like me to elaborate on timings to pass through or require further info. We are just 6 km from beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Mlini and the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea- here there are many restaurants and bars to choose from. A 20 car journey, will take you to the centre and hussle and bussle of Dubrovnik Old Town. Wander the narrow cobbled streets or take a walking tour of the walls that are steeped history and stories,or maybe a tour of the game of Thrones filming sites. My personal favourite is to canoe round the old town at sunset, it is magical! Now you will understand why Dubrovnik is named the 'Jewel of the Adriatic'. You must take advantage of our location and enjoy the beautiful 13th Century town of Trebinje in Bosnia, with a colorful daily market and shaded piazzas to eat and drink coffee and a newly opened water park- great for all the family. Vukoje winery is fabulous place to enjoy good food and great wine all served whilst you take in the views of the town below. Travel further afield to visit Ston, Mostar, Kravica Waterfalls, and less than an hour away, through the mountains is Kotor and the spectacular Fjords of Montenegro. Ivanica has a local restaurant offering a varied menu at very affordable prices, and two small shops. Restaurant Drjen is just a short drive away into the mountains and is a family favourite. Please be aware we have NO public transport and car rental is essential to enjoying your stay with us. We are just a 20 min drive from Dubrovnik Airport.
