About Welch Homes and Hospitality Our Story What began as a family camping trip in 2014 while renting out our home has blossomed into a full-time adventure. We own three neighboring homes with our three adult daughters, and all pour our hearts into hosting, renovating, and creating beautiful spaces. Today, our 'side hustle' has become our full-time jobs, and it rewards our busy summers with off-season travel. Our Properties Our portfolio features three distinctive homes, each renovated with care and offering a comfortable, creative atmosphere. Our location, facing beautiful Horner Park, is perfect for guests seeking recreation, playtime for children, or off-leash fun for pets. Rent one or all three homes to accommodate up to 38 guests. Inside, the Garden Cottage boasts a beautiful navy kitchen with a farmhouse sink, quartz countertops, and a coffee & cocktail bar. The lovely bathroom features European tile, an extra-tall shower, and a vintage wall-mounted sink. Enjoy the convenience of in-suite laundry, a Westin Heavenly king bed, and a TV. Just steps away, you'll find The Bunkie, once a humble garden shed, reimagined in 2024 as a cozy second bedroom. This bright space features a comfortable queen bed with built-in side tables, book nooks, and storage, plus a twin bed reading nook above. It also includes clothes storage, a mini-fridge, and a TV. Conveniently located for exploring Victoria, you'll find free parking for one car, easy transit access, and proximity to shops, restaurants, the University of Victoria, and Camosun College Lansdowne Campus. It's just a 6-minute drive to Cadboro Bay Beach and 15 minutes to downtown. Need more space? Combine this property with the adjacent rental “Family Cottage @ Horner Park” (sleeps 8) and open the doors to a shared courtyard space for outdoor dining and visiting under the wisteria. The Family Cottage offers three bedrooms with one king (sleeps 2) and 3 queen beds (sleeps 6) and 1.5 bathrooms.
