Welcome to Guarda, a place not only distinguished by its uniquely intact village scene but also by its picturesque setting high above the valley floor of the Lower Engadine. In the midst of this idyllic setting, you will find our spacious 3.5-room apartment. Located on the second floor of a farmhouse built in 1650, it enjoys an exceptionally quiet location with a comprehensive view over the picturesque landscape. The partially renovated apartment offers a functional furnishing that promises cozy comfort. The leisure activities in the surrounding area leave little to be desired. With the sledding trail right in the village, a children's ski lift, and a playground, activities for the youngest guests are readily available nearby. The Swiss National Park as well as numerous hiking trails are right on the doorstep, while the tax-free areas of Livigno and Samnaun invite for attractive excursions. Other worthwhile destinations include Meran, Tirano, St. Moritz, and Davos. The diverse sports opportunities such as fishing, mountaineering, ice skating, and downhill skiing complement the offering and make your stay an all-around active experience. Guarda is characterized by its "Schellenursli" village image, which has remained remarkably intact since its destruction by the Austrians in 1621. The old state of the place was carefully preserved and put under protection in 1938. Besides the magnificent Engadine houses decorated with sgraffito, Guarda, due to its location on a sunny terrace, offers splendid views and is considered an excellent hiking area in every season. The proximity to the Silvretta area and the impressive winter and summer hiking trails underscore the natural beauty of this unique location.
