My husband and myself we were working for the development cooperation for some years. Traces of theses years are found in the furnishing and design of our apartments. We like to welcome guests from various parts of the world and to have a glass of locally produced wine with them.

Our three holiday apartments in Gimmeldingen are located in an old vineyard building complex. The village itself is located on the foot of the Pfälzerwald mountain range. From here you can oversee the Rhine valley over to the other side which is the Odenwald and further south, the Black Forest. Gimmeldingen is one of the picturesque touristic villages that you find along the 80km Weinstraße. The village is characterised by its wine production you see when looking at the scenery and when looking at the old, traditional, majestic buildings of the well know vineyards. Wine festivals starting in March and ending in November invite to enjoy not only the good wine of the area, but also the relaxed atmosphere of the local wine producers and consumers. Our holiday apartments are furnished and decorated with taste and affection. The African and Asian artefacts contribute perfectly to the comfortable harmony you find in the apartments and in the spacious courtyard. Here, the impressive oaks invite to have a rest by enjoying a glass of locally produced wine. Three of our apartment are named after a very local wine site of our region. The newest holiday flat "Weinrefugium" expresses what we wish for our guests: enjoy good wine in an exclusive ambience!

Our flats are ideally located for hiking and cycling/mountain biking. You are immediately in the vineyards and you can reach the forest in about 10 minutes walk. There, you explore the well-marked hiking trails of the Palatinate Forest Association and enjoy a rest in one of the the numerous catered huts. The Palatinate Forest is known for its attractive mountain bike trails. Every year, the Sigma Mountain Bike Marathon takes place in August, attracting amateurs and professionals from all over Germany. Three minutes' walk from us, the Mußbach swimming pool welcomes gueste in the summer months. It is beautifully located in the middle of vineyards . There is an extra large children's pool. Swimmers enjoy a 50 m lane. The nearby railway line to Bad Dürkheim/Freinsheim/Grünstadt enables our guests to take walks to the north (towards Bad Dürkheim) or to the south (towards Neustadt or further to Edenkoben/Landau/Weißenburg) and return by train. Bicycles can also be taken along, for example if a bike tour to Speyer is on the agenda. There are numerous places to stop and enjoy Palatinate specialities and good wine within a radius of 1 km. The next good option is already 150 m away! A very good café in the village offers delicacies in the form of cake or ice cream and a fantastic view over the vineyards.
