The south-facing slope catches the sun and creates a warm microclimate, the lake with bathing area and restaurant is 1 km away, you can get there on foot, by bike or by car, the train invites you to tours to Constance and Radolfzell. The hiking trail along the edge of the forest is only about 800m from the Schmieder clinics.
