Acoran Family is a typical 19th-century Canarian house with a beautiful view of the entire northern bay of Gran Canaria. The bedrooms and bathrooms open onto an interior courtyard with several common areas where you can have breakfast, a drink, or simply relax. Our project is aimed at all those seeking a peaceful and zen-like atmosphere and who wish to begin their journey into the world of yoga. Prior yoga experience is not necessary, but a curiosity about the experience is essential. We do not want to force anyone to practice yoga with us. However, we try to avoid those who are simply looking for a cheap hotel—which is not our case—who do not respect the common areas and believe they have a personal maid on their floor, ready to clean up their mess and imperfections so as not to offend other guests. The house in Firgas is perfectly located, 100 meters from the center. All the amenities this wonderful town in the midlands offers are also nearby, so please don't penalize the location; look it up on the map! The house is old, and we didn't want to detract from its character. That's why, even though it was renovated less than a year ago, we've preserved its unique characteristics, which some might consider flaws. For us, they are its essence and soul. Please bear this in mind: we take great care with cleanliness. But if you're looking for a sterile environment, don't come here—we're in the countryside! If you can't climb stairs, this isn't the place for you. There are steps to climb (not many, just three or four, but there are some). If you don't know how to share a space with courtesy and respect, don't come. If you don't enjoy yoga or a peaceful, sunny, and communicative lifestyle, don't come. Welcome to Firgas, where you'll find all the essentials for a comfortable stay, from supermarkets and pharmacies to healthcare centers, restaurants, sweet shops, and lively pubs. This small yet authentic Canarian town is a hidden gem, offering a truly local experience. Firgas is ideally located just 8 km from the coast and 18 km from the capital city. While there are public buses available, we highly recommend having a car to explore the genuine beauty of the Canary Islands at your own pace. In the winter, you can expect pleasant daytime temperatures around 20/22 degrees, with slightly cooler nights averaging around 14/16 degrees. It's a good idea to bring a sweater for those cooler evenings. Please note that we do not provide standard heating, but we can offer it as an optional extra, charged based on your actual usage. If you've come to the Canary Islands seeking intense heat and beach days, Firgas may not be the best fit for you.
