In a more than a century-old workers' house, you can sense a unique historical atmosphere. The spacious rooms and stunning lake views captivate every visitor. The house is part of a culturally and historically significant industrial environment, which includes not only wooden houses but also a renovated cloth factory turned into apartments, a patron’s mansion, and a church. The industrial area is located on the shore of Lake Littoinen. A nature trail circles the lake, and there are several beaches along its shores. The accommodation has its own dock and a boat available for guests to borrow. An illustrated map of the factory area is available, and upon request, I can share stories about its colorful history.

I moved into my current home 25 years ago. When my children left the nest, I was left with empty space upstairs. After a few years of consideration, I decided to offer these rooms to guests. Having traveled extensively myself and worked as a tour guide in the Turku area, the idea felt natural and meaningful. My accommodation is located in a historic industrial setting, which is well worth exploring—either with a map or by joining my guided tour. A nature trail circles Lake Littoinen, and at the other end of the lake, you’ll find Villa Järvelä, an award-winning sauna and swimming center that also features warm outdoor hot tubs. Nearby, there is a pizzeria, and a K-market is just one kilometer away. The Prisma shopping center is 5 km from the accommodation. Turku is only 8 km away. Finland’s oldest city offers fascinating museums, such as the archaeological museum Aboa Vetus, the medieval Turku Castle, the Luostarinmäki open-air museum, the maritime center Forum Marinum, and the impressive Turku Cathedral. Along the Aura River, you’ll find the city’s most significant museums as well as a variety of restaurants, including Gustavo, Mami, Tårget, Smör, Oobu, Tinto, Svarte Rudolf, Nerå, Nooa, and Via Tribunali. Turku has the highest number of restaurants per capita in Finland, ensuring that there’s something delicious and budget-friendly for everyone.
