In 1995, Eric Albada Jelgersma, a Dutch businessman, art-and winelover became the president of the estate. In 1997 Eric Albada bought the neigbhouring Chateau du Tertre which, like Giscours, is also a classified growth of the Margaux appellation.

Welcome to château Giscours, Classified growth of the Margaux appellation. The property is just a short drive from the city of Bordeaux. Giscours has a rich history dating back to the 14th century. Primarily a defensive tower overlooking “a wild and hostile” landscape. In the 19th century, under the leadership of the Promis, Pescatore and Cruse families Giscours dressed up in all its finery: transformation of the castle into a neoclassical palace, construction of a park with rare species by the landscape designer Eugene Bühler, modernization of production tools with the construction of huge farm buildings, including the "Ferme Suzanne". The property is situated along the mythical “Route des Châteaux” in the Médoc (D2)”. The imposing 19th century mansion of château Giscours stands out among the vineyards in stately fashion.
