We live in a charming peaceful place surrounded by nature overlooking the Nantes Brest canal. The property is accessible from the canal path and the road. Ideal for walkers, cyclists, fishing holidays and people wanting a peaceful relaxed holiday. The gites are situated on 8 hectares of land and the owners live on site. The gites have been recently furnished and if if there is anything you need like extra pillows we can get them for you. There are two gites. Each gite has 2 large rooms a kitchen / living area and double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Each gite has a sofa which transforms into a double bed. Ideal for children or teenagers. There is a shared laundry area. Barbecue facilities are available and you can eat outside when you like. Parking is on the private road. Electric bicycles can be charged in the utility area. Well behaved pets are welcome. Dogs, cats and rabbits for example. We have a friendly dog who gets on well with other animals. Gouarec is a short walk away to the left and the Abbe de Bon Repos takes a few minutes longer. The path down to the canal is steep and not smooth - you can also go by the roadway.

We love meeting people. We are from England. Catherine understands current French and speaks good French and a little German. We bought the property in December 2020 and we are still working on the garden which is huge. Some parts are wild and others more managed. We are at the end of the road - once you go through the gates there is no access to the public. You can park your vehicle next to the gite if necessary. Peter does all the DIY and enjoys fixing things.

There are many local attractions in Central Brittany, The Lac de Guerledan, the Velorail, Liscuis graves ancient stones, Gorges du Daoulas and many more to discover. Gouarec has restaurants which are reasonably priced. There is a small supermarket offering local produce. There is also a grocers selling British proucts, a craft shop, art gallery and antique shop. There are local markets most days of the week. Large supermarkets are less than 10 kilometres - about 10 minutes away by car. Please bring groceries with you to cover the first meal as sometimes everything is closed - on Sundays and late evening for example.
