Ben Vorlich Cottage is the perfect place for families, walkers, cyclists and even skiers! A clean and cosy home from home, where you'll be just a few short minutes away from Loch Lomond with access to Loch Cruises and the Water Buses. For walking, you're in the heart of the 'Arrochar Alps' including The Cobbler, and Ben Lomond can be accessed easily across the Loch. There is a vast network of cycle trails on your doorstep and even the ski slopes at Glencoe are only 45 mins away!

We bought Ben Vorlich Cottage in 2023 and we're really excited about welcoming guests to this beautiful cottage in the heart of the Arrochar Alps. The cottage is such a great place to explore the area with Lochs in either direction and incredible views from the tops of the hills and mountains. You won't be disappointed, as we aren't whenever we visit the cottage ourselves with our ever growing family. We live just 30 mins away from the cottage so we are fairly local and on hand during your stay for any issues that may arise by phone or through the App.

Ben Vorlich is situated in a small gravel courtyard. It is entirely peaceful with views of the surrounding hills and mountains. There is a small gurgling stream at the entrance to the courtyard, which passes under the driveway. The Kirk O' The Lochs Restaurant and Bar is 100m away. It is housed in a converted church. Ben Vorlich is perfectly placed to get around by car, train, bus, bike, and boat. Situated just off the A82/A83, there is easy access towards Inveraray and Campbeltown in the west, Glencoe and Oban northwards, and Helensburgh and Glasgow to the south. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the drive with regular connections. Arrochar and Tarbet Station is situated on the single track Highland Line, which can take you through some of Scotland's most scenic countryside and mountains northwards to Oban and Fort William (Ben Nevis) or south to Helensburgh and Glasgow. A short walk will take you to Tarbet Pier, where Loch Cruises are available, plus you can catch the Water Buses to Inversnaid, Luss, Balmaha, and Balloch. if cycling is your thing, then there are quiet roads and climbs along Loch Long, or you can take the old Military Road up the Rest and Be Thankful to access the quiet road to Lochgoilhead. There is also the West Loch Lomond cycle path that runs from Tarbet to Lomond Shores near Balloch via Luss and Duck Bay. Gravel cyclists are well catered for with the Glen Loin Loop and trails around the Rest and Be Thankful and Lochgoilhead. A short boat ride to Inversnaid gives you access to the trail around Loch Katrine or the extensive network of trails in Aberfoyle and Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Pets are welcome at the cottage but, whilst you love your furry friend, not every guest does. So we ask that you keep the stair gate closed and do not allow pets in the upstairs bedrooms, and if possible keep them out of the downstairs bedroom. Thanks.
