On arrival at Bakery Cottage the front door opens to a hallway Cloakroom which has W.C. and coat hanging this leads to the bright and modern kitchen dining area which ideal for dinner and socialising with friends and family or to start the day with a hearty breakfast. The airy lounge offers comfortable leather sofas and large flat screen Smart TV. Heading upstairs the three bedrooms are finished with comfortable, quality beds and again are finished to offer a welcome retreat at the end of the day. In addition to the master bedroom with king size double bed and the single bedroom the third bedroom offers a choice of either a super king sized double bed or twin single beds (please let us know your choice of bed arrangements for this room when you book). This flexible arrangement makes the property ideal for either families or couples. All this is complemented with a smart bathroom with a bath with shower over. The property benefits from one private off-road parking space (ideal for most cars, though larger models might find it a little narrow) and there is also free on street parking on the neighbouring streets.

On the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, Bowness is a sophisticated Lakeland village with a wealth to explore and enjoy. Stroll to the lake shore to hire a row boat or power boat, or take an elegant cruise on one of the Lake Windermere steamers. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside; a wonderful way to explore without even using your car. There are several excellent restaurants in Bowness village, within walking distance of Bakery Cottage, Jacksons Bistro is a long-standing favourite for stylish dining, The Villa Positano a family run Italian, the Bodega Sol popular with younger people is a contemporary tapas bar. Also within easy walking distance are The Royalty Cinema which has Wurlitzer Organ recitals on selected days in the summer months, The Windermere Bowling Club and the Windermere Rugby Union Football Club. Windermere Golf Club is just outside Bowness village, on the Crook Road going towards Kendal.
