This unique cosy cottage oozes style. Formerly the stables for the Duchess of Northumberland’s summer residence, it is ideally positioned just behind the Grand Hotel, 1 minute from blue-flagged Longsand’s beach. Lovingly updated to create a stylish sanctuary minutes’ walk from Tynemouth’s trendy cafes, bars and restaurants, this delightful cottage boasts a granite-topped kitchen, marble dining table, luxury shower, a surfboard rack, and little design features to make your stay feel special.
My family recently moved back to the UK after 30 years in Japan. We miss the level of quality and attention to detail which is ever present in Japan, and we’ve tried to incorporate that into our cottage holiday experience.
Tynemouth is a historic, thriving village right on the Northumberland coast. Boasting a Priory established in the 700s, and said to have 3 kings buried in its grounds. Newcastle is 20 minutes drive away, and Bamburgh and Alnwick are under 90 minutes. It’s an ideal spot to explore the magnificent Northumberland coast.
