For sun worshipers we do recommend Carlyon Bay beach. Its 5 min drive. Long beach with plenty pop up restaurants and bars. You can bring your own cool box but if not - don't worry. You can find great food here: hot sandwiches, fish and chips, pizzas, seafood, salads, pasties and varieties of ice creams.
After your day out just chill in the garden and listen to church bells ringing.

Three fine late Neolithic or early Bronze Age stone circles arranged in a line, a grouping unique in England.
Hurlers Stone Circles are probably the best examples of ceremonial circles in the south west. According to legend, they are the remains of men petrified for playing hurling on a Sunday.

St Austell brewery
Offering an interactive experience, tours of the historic family brewery, a newly refurbished shop stocked with our premium beers, and an array of gifts - a visit to St Austell Brewery is certainly not one to be missed.

St Austell station is a Grade II listed[1] station which serves the town of St Austell, Cornwall, England. It is 286 miles 26 chains from the zero point at London Paddington measured via Box and Plymouth Millbay. The station is operated by Great Western Railway and situated on the hillside just above the town. 5min walk from our cottage. The main buildings were rebuilt in 2001 and face the town's bus station.
The station is served by both local and long-distance trains, including the Night Riviera sleeper service. The best way to explore Cornwall.
St Austell viaduct
The Penzance line crosses the Trenance valley to the west of St Austell town centre. It is 115 feet high, 720 feet long, and has 10 piers. Walking distance from our cottage, 5min. Beautiful, peaceful walk.
