We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Great location for visiting family nearby! Didn’t spend much time there as was our and about a lot but it was well equipped, clean and tidy and a great spot for lots of nice local walks!

Peaceful location to get away from it all. Sunny dry weather meant we spent most of our time reading and walking as lovely walks nearby. Cottage well equipped and we didn't lack anything.

Very spacious small cottage for one or two guests, ample dining and kitchen space. Kitchen was well-supplied with utensils. Projector TV in bedroom is an added bonus. Loved the sofa, beanbag and soft furnishings.

This charming cottage is situated in the heart of Kintbury. It has a fully equipped kitchen with blinds (privacy assured even when semi-closed) and a separate dining area, with an extendable table (seats 6). There is also a washing-machine and access to a tumble-dryer. The bedroom has a double bed with wireless charging lamps and a projector/laptop for your own private cinema. The living room has a sofa-bed, open log fire, electric fire and TV with streaming services Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney+ accounts. The cottage also has a fully-equipped office with a computer, printer & fast unlimited internet access, perfect for working from home. This space also includes a dressing area with drawers, mirror and hanging space. Please note that the stairs are narrow and therefore our property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There are plenty of lovely walks nearby and the Kennet & Avon canal is within easy reach for fishing and cycling. The village has 2 very nice pubs, a good corner store (which incorporates a post-office and a click & collect service) all within a 10 minute walk. The property is also only a short distance from the station for trains to Newbury (10 minutes), Hungerford (5 minutes), Reading (35 minutes) or London (50 minutes). Off-street parking is also available for a small to medium car unless you possess Ninja parking skills (which some of our guests impressively do)! All details are in my guide which is automatically accessed on booking, but please feel free to ask any questions beforehand.
Mother, bookseller, reluctant gym goer, voracious reader We live next door to the cottage so are available for any help or guidance during your stay.
This is an ideal location for exploring Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, with the pretty market towns of Hungerford & Marlborough, a 5 and 20 minute drive away. Avebury stone circle is 40 minutes away. Please make sure to check out my Guide section before your visit, as it gives a good flavour of what's interesting in our area (available on reservation). It's a long, but absolutely worthwhile read (promise!), especially as it's often advisable to book in advance. Everything is a maximum 45 min drive away.
