Chestnut Cottage was acquired in early 2019 and has been set up to provide a spacious modern Holiday retreat to enable you to relax and enjoy a break with a homely feel and everything you could want at your fingertips. Fully equipped throughout with those thoughtful touches that make a break away so special. Large open plan living area with Breakfast Bar leading into the kitchen and French Doors out to your own private courtyard for Al Fresco dining. Upstairs there are 2 spacious bright bedrooms and large family bathroom, at the front with views over the park and Downs. The cottage is easily accessible, with space for private parking, yet a short 5 minute walk into Old Shanklin Village with its many shops, restaurants, cafes and attractions especially Shanklin Chine for young and old alike. Shanklin Beach is at the bottom of the Chine stretching all the way along to Sandown. Walking routes take you across the Downs to Ventnor, or along the Coastal path to Sandown, with many options to walk inland to Godshill and many of the other country pubs are on the way.

I love spending time at my beloved Chestnut Cottage and visiting the beautiful Isle of Wight with it wonderful beaches, walks and amazing views and I never tire of being there! The cottage is home from home and has everything to make your stay completely enjoyable with amazing views in a beautiful location. It is beautifully decorated and I have enjoyed choosing the right décor so you feel at home the minute you walk through the door and making the rear courtyard come to life with some magical lighting in the evening! Chestnut Cottage forms part of the Shanklin Manor estate and is surrounded by the rural park and countryside, a short walk down Manor Road will lead you to the Church and local pond and parkland. A 5 minute walk will then take you into Shanklin Old Village with a variety of Pubs and Restaurants, best book in the summer as they get very busy, you can see our recommendations in the House Folder. Shanklin Chine is a must see to wander down through the Chine with its unique Flora and Fauna, ending up on Shanklin Beach that stretches along to Sandown. The Southern Coastal path runs both West and East taking in the local towns and villages with some great places to eat and drink on the way, see our recommendations.
