This unique place has a style all of it’s own. We have just finished a careful, high standard renovation of this historic mill cottage to create a boutique hotel feel and finish but with the benefit of having tonnes of space and all the facilities that you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient.
I’m the Mothership of our family - we have amazing kids ranging from late teens to a 4 year old. Never a dull moment :-)
We love to travel and see the world, and prefer to stay in contemporary and stylish places or ones with a bit of history which inspire us (and give us new ideas for our own home!).
We love the vibes of the city just as much as the peace and open space of being near the sea or in the countryside.
We like to get to know a place - the culture, the food, the way of life and love how travelling opens our minds and those of our kids too.
We live and work locally so we are on hand to help with any recommendations etc to make the most of your stay in this lovely part of the world.
Halifax and Calderdale are ace places to visit - so many other places are in easy reach by road or rail and whilst the cottage is part of a Mill complex, it is no longer an industrial area, its just full of friendly local businesses.
There’s a bus stop right outside with a service running to Halifax, Brighouse and Huddersfield. Private car parking is just opposite. Halifax and Brighouse bus train stations are approx 10 mins in a taxi or 45 mins walk away, and Huddersfield ones are 20mins in a taxi. Easy access from the M62 so that you can head north, south, east or west in a matter of minutes!
