An abundance of natural light flows into this home and the views from some of the windows are breathtaking!!

Walking trails, hiking, golf, mountain biking, skiing, and other outdoor activities are all on your doorstep when you stay at The Monaltrie. If you want to visit the Queen...Balmoral Estates is 5 minutes away and Balmoral Castle (where the Royal family stays) is only 15 minutes' drive by car. Make sure to check out the Old Railway Station...It might surprise you. Also close by is the Historic Town of Braemar. Depending on the time of year you are visiting. The Lecht and Glenshee Ski Center is only a stone's throw away making The Monaltrie the perfect location for your stay regardless of its purpose. The easiest way to get in and around Ballater is by car, but many people like to walk and cycle through also. We also have an hourly bus service that comes through the village linking Ballater with Perth and Aberdeen. Once you have arrived there are two bike shops, guided walks, and even a walk with a shetland pony!
