Historic Restoration Lonsdale House is proudly owned, managed and operated by a local team, all rooted in the South Lakes region. Our team work closely with local producers, ensuring that our amenities, artworks and gifts all originate from our vibrant community. Experience the warmth of our hospitality and the richness of the South Lakes. Between 2021-23 our owner embarked on a significant renovation journey, working with local architects, carpenters, builders and restoration experts to restore the historic cornices, architraves and windows throughout the property. Our goal was to breathe life back into the building's architectural character.  The dedication of countless local craftsmen is woven into the fabric of Lonsdale House, and we thank them all for their enormous effort!

Lonsdale House Boutique Apartments offer a cosy retreat on the picturesque edge of the English Lake District, just 20 minutes from Lake Windermere. Our 13 meticulously designed suites are designed for both comfort and luxury, featuring fully-equipped kitchenettes, comfortable living spaces, and plush sleeping areas. Enjoy the convenience of being a stone's throw from Ulverston's vibrant centre, where you can explore local shops, quaint pubs, indulge in local dining experiences and immerse yourself in the town's rich history. Each apartment is equipped with amenities including high speed WiFi, TV with streaming services, kitchenette, microwave, coffee maker and spacious shower. Bed linen and towels are provided in all units. We are also delighted to welcome your four-legged friends. Dogs are greeted with complimentary treats, ensuring that they feel as at home as you do during your stay.
